Almost all presentations are included in the online program of dcypher Symposium and also the symposium video, photos and created cartoons
The Symposium offered a podium for cybersecurity R&D solutions reached in partnership (PPP) either recently completed or still in progress. Participants got an impression of the output resulting from earlier tenders for medium term (SBIR) and long term cybersecurity research, both nationally and internationally. Also ten potential new research SBIR projects were demonstrated. Special attention was given to solutions for bridging gaps between cybersecurity higher education curricula and demands from the labor market were addressed. Including the keynotes speakers, student reporters, panellist and lecturers, 65 speakers cooperated. The event offered a total of 53 presentations and ten panel discussions.
After the symposium, a quarter of the more than 450 participants responded to the questionnaire. Their background proved to be mainly scientific or business related both groups forty percent and government-related twenty percent. On average, the symposium was valued at 86 out of 100.
The symposium was organised October 4th, 2017 MediaPlaza in Utrecht by dcypher in close cooperation with the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RvO), the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Applied Science Organisation (SIA) in conjunction with the European Cybersecurity Month and AlertOnline.
The dcypher Symposium is co-funded through a MIT Grant for Network activities by TKI HTSM.
