The Dutch Research Council NWO is strongly in favour of developing a follow-up to dcypher. NWO and the partners involved (Dutch ministries of Justice & Security, Education Culture & Science, Economic Affairs & Climate Policy and Defence) want to use this extra time to determine the objectives and the form in which dcypher will be continued. NWO sees it as its task to provide the scientific cyber security field with solid support, just as NWO does in many other research disciplines. NWO will continue its dcypher activities in the field of research to ensure that they can make a smooth transition to the new phase on 1 October 2020.
