The Ministry of Justice and Security is launching an innovative programme with the objective to cooperate with innovators: the Startup in Residence Program (SiR).
This programme challenges startups to come-up with solutions to four pre-selected social issues in the field of Justice and Security. We are looking for enthusiastic and innovative startups who are willing to join us on this journey.
What does the SiR programme exactly stand for?
It works as follows: Startups can apply when they have an idea that does not yet exist and can help solve one of the social issues. Take a look at the challenges here!
Three startups will be given the opportunity to present their idea, and they will, subsequently pitch it in front of a professional jury. Finally, the jury will select the winners (one per social issue). These startups will be admitted to participate in the SiR Programme. They will, furthermore, be provided with development budget and will attend the training and guidance programme.
After five months of intensive co-operation between startup and Ministry, the programme will end with the accomplishment of a working prototype. The startup will be invited to present its prototype to the commissioning parties and potential customers during Demo-day in June 2019.
