National Cyber Security Center (NCSC)

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is a government initiative. The NCSC fleshes out the integral approach and brings existing initiatives together. Ensuring digital security is the task of various parties and the NCSC acts as the link which binds together the many different activities.

From the organisational point of view the centre falls under the responsibility of the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Security [Nationaal Coördinator Terrorismebestrijding en Veiligheid] (NCTV) of the Ministry of Security and Justice, but its foundations are in public-private cooperation. Initially public parties will become associated with the centre, and then gradually more and more private parties will become actively involved with the NCSC. The continued development of the NCSC will take several years and occurs in close consultation with all the partners.
