Crime lab:
Laboratory for Crime Research using Innovative Methods and Experimentation

New technologies such as social media, GPS, the internet, sensors, and virtual environments are quickly becoming an increasingly influential part of our daily lives. While very relevant, and often highly accessible and user-friendly, crime researchers have been slow to capitalize on the opportunities these technologies have to offer to our discipline. They offer the potential to collect detailed data more efficiently than current methodologies and provide new avenues for crime prevention strategies and knowledge valorisation.

CRIME Lab is an initiative by a group of NSCR researchers that promotes the use of new technologies and innovative methods in crime research. We aim to build interdisciplinary collaborations, and partnerships with the private and public sectors, to design and develop research lines that use technology-driven solutions to solve crime-related problems
